How to learn for our "mistakes"

That is my spark coach assignment today. The last "mistake " I made was I made a pot roast that I made wrong and it was too salty and I ate it anyway. I didn't eat much but the next day I had gained 3 lbs. It has taken 3 weeks to get that weight off. I have stayed in my calorie ranged every single day. So I know it was just " water weight" but it has been really tough to get it off ! So the next time something is too salty I will just skip it and find something else to eat! I am working too hard to have something as stupid as salt slow down my weight loss! I don't even like salty stuff. The only reason I ate that pot roast was because that was what I had planned for dinner that night. So that was my lesson and it was well learned
