Weigh in – Recommit Week 6

Happy Friday, friends! Thanks to those of you that read my vent and commented. I was talking to a fellow WW member who truly inspires me last night. She and I were talking about the fact that this is truly a lifestyle change. I am truly taking a tip from her by really trying to focus on the things that I enjoy eating (home fries, etc.) and figuring out how I can still have those things, but slimming them down. Perhaps when I have home fries, I don’t put half the container of oil in there, I limit it to a couple of tablespoons. I can have mashed potatoes, I just have to limit the butter and the milk or make them differently. I am finally realizing that I have really had a “diet” mentality. That might explain WHY I am not making headway. I’m just trying to take it one day at a time. Focusing on smaller changes to make sure they can last a lifetime. I have struggled with my weight for many years. If I don’t focus on progress instead of perfection, I may never be rid of it. Here’s to a great week and many more to follow!
