I bought this book quite awhile ago. I just got around to reading it. I am finding out some things I did not know about body chemistry and how we can use it to remain overweight or to become healthier.

The easy to understand funny diagrams are very informative!

I learned to eat 6 nuts before a meal to get a certain chemical made so the brain thinks I am full. Ureka!

    It's a good one. I read it a while ago. Actually, come to think of it, I believe my husband gave it to me as a birthday present!!! Gee thanks!!!!

    It was something that I wanted at the time and was into Dr. Oz quite a lot back then (before his talk show), but for a birthday present. PULEEZ. Someone needs to go back to husband school...

    Anyway, I agree. It was really useful and helpful to better understand WHY my body felt certain ways depending on what I was eating. I especially found learning about gherlin and leptin very useful. Jillian Michaels writings and podcasts are great too.

    Another off the beaten path system that I learned a lot from is called Weight Solutions: The New Body-Mind-Spirit Approach by Judith Valentine, Ph.D. and Janet Cunningham, Ph.D.
    I subscribe to most of the lessons and information given in the book. I've even worked with Judi Valentine as a nutritionist and found her services very different than the average nutritionist and very useful.

    I just returned that book to the library! It's very useful information. I need to check it out again because I had to skim some parts and it's a book definitely worth studying. The tip about eating a few nuts before meals is great as is the one about soaking nuts and seeds to make them more digestible.
