I took today off from work because it is my deceased son's birthday. My husband took the day off also. We went to breakfast and then we went to buy flowers to put on my son's grave. We had to call the grounds keeper to come and open the flower vase for us. We also got him to clear the grass off my son's stone. His stone was also dirty so I cleaned it with water and paper towels. I only go out there once a year, on his birthday. I told my husband that I wanted to start going at least twice a year, not because I think he is there, but because I want his grave marker to look nice. I actually started my morning looking for something to wear on Saturday. My husband's friends will be celebrating 8 years of marriage. They didn't have a reception when they got married so they are having a big celebration this weekend. I opened a box of clothes, yes my clothes are still in boxes from our move last year, and due to the fact that most of them were too small anyway. I found several blouses that I can wear now. I pulled out pants from the closet and I can fit them. Some of the items still had tags on them because I gained my weight back before I got the chance to wear them. But I was looking for a specific pair of black pants that I wore to my high school reunion. I didn't find them. After we left the cemetery I told my husband I was torn between going back home and pulling out boxes of clothes from the garage, to find my black pants, or going to a movie. He said let's go to the movies. I had movie tickets, popcorn, and soda tickets. We shared a large soda and two large bags of popcorn: free refills. We ate all through the movie and the popcorn wasn't even that good. So I knew I was in trouble because I had all these extra calories and no exercise. When we got home my husband went out to water the grass, so I watered the plants outside. I didn't use the water hose. I used a container and kept walking back and forth filling the container and then watering the plants. Then I got out my steam mop. I have one of the low end ones where you have to keep pushing it to get the steam. I pushed that thing for 20 minutes. I needed the exercise and the kitchen floor was pretty dirty. Then I washed the mop pad and did the dishes. Hopefully I didn't mess up my weight loss for the week.
