Today's walk

Thursday, October 03, 2013

Today was my second interview. I ended up taking a cab to the train today and then walking two miles to the business. After my interview (crossing fingers), I walked back and it was drizzling rain the whole way so I was very thankful that I brought my umbrella!
On the walk back I saw a tree by the sidewalk with some awesome apples on it, but they were all too high to reach...too bad because I was getting hungry!

The area I had to walk through was really nice...like bazillion dollar homes! I didn't take pics though because I just felt weird taking pics of peoples houses, lol!

I heard the train whistling when I was about a block away and tried to walk faster, but after my miles the other day and then this morning, I just couldn't do it...I made it to the platform just as the train was pulling away.

No matter, I was starving at this point, I hadn't eaten much before leaving, so I sat outside the station and at my hot dog and a few chips that I brought with. I also remembered some apple juice besides my water and it felt really good to be full after a long morning and damp walk!

I think the train depot and surrounding area in Itasca is so pretty.

After I got back to the station in Bartlett, I had about a 15 minute wait on my cab. Bartlett is kinda pretty too, sorry the pic is a bit fuzzy, the tree was so pretty changing colors...

I hope I hear good new about this job tomorrow....I was kinda expecting to hear about it before the end of the workday today, so now I am on edge. (Which is pretty much my new regular position, le Sigh)

I like walking too, you can get to interesting places, see actual people...actual life.
For me it's really important since I've spent most of past 10 year inside my apartment only leaving for work.
So now I find walking very entertaining.
I 'm thinking about going different parts of town and walking there, and just now I got and idea...that's to you...I'll be taking pictures and posting it here.
Moscow is a beautiful city and I haven't even seen it myself:)

I guess trying to bat an apple out of a tree with your umbrella would have been fruitless...!

Glad it did not pour down rain, and enjoyed the photos of the lovely views you had.

I think you could have taken house photos, as all the occupants would have been at work all day.
Usually no one is in them until evening. Or maybe a busy maid cleaning.

Sorry you feel on the edge.
But think of all the walking you do, so good for you.

Hotdogs... been on sale all summer and DH keeps buying them 'for me' as he doesn't like them. I have twenty packs in the freezer and I beg him to stop buying them for a while. I can only eat a few a week due to cholesterol! It is good to have food in the freezer though!
