You might be quite surprised how often Holy Spirit has brought you to mind - since I first listened to your blog. Each time that has happened, I have been faithful to lift prayer on your behalf.

Hang in there & keep in mind that God has His best in store for you.

Be blessed!

emoticon emoticon Losing a fur family member is so very difficult. They give us their unconditional love and ask for so little in return and that bond is just so magical and when they are gone there is a whole in our lives. A new dog will never take Buddy's place but will have a new piece of your heart. Buddy would be happy for you. Thinking of you and sending good thoughts.

Jenny. You are in my prayers.

I wrote a poem once called over the rainbow bridge for another dog that died. I don't remember the exact words but I do know that years from now when you are called home, Buddy will be waiting for you. I know that doesn't help much because you are hurting. I have never been one to find the right words to help for a loss. I had two uncles and 2 friends die in the last year and another one that is not doing very well right now. I can't even say goodbye to her because with my shingles, I can't go to visit her and she can't even hold the phone. It hurts really bad to lose someone but we should remember the good times. Buddy will always be with you in spirit and in your heart. My heart breaks for the pain you are feeling. I can see it in your eyes.
You should let it all out and have a good cry, then think about the good times and the laughter.

It is never easy to lose our furbabies but we have to remember that they too cross over the Rainbow Bridge to run and play and be pain free.

I am so so sorry that you are having such a rough time! Dogs seriously become our family members, and in many cases I am more attached to my animals than I am to many humans. You will absolutely be in my thoughts during this difficult time! emoticon

Jenny, I was greatly touched when I read that Buddy had died, and now that you've shared with us your grieving, please know that I'll be praying for you. God loves you deeply, and wants you to turn to Him for comfort. He may use others, something you read or hear, or some other method, but God will comfort. Even though it's been about six years since we had to put my last cat to sleep, I still find myself thinking of him sometimes. So I'm not going to try to convince you that you'll 'get over' your sweet canine friend, but God will provide comfort and peace. Buddy will always hold a place in your heart, as he should. He was a fine dog, and you loved him (do still love him).
