Thanks tinasw for the prod to post a blog. I have been a bit sidetracked recently with my cold and subsequent pity party. I have not been able to do my fitness at the same pace, though I have been on track with the eating.
I notice shifts in my body...down. (No, not as in body weight down, but body parts nearer the floor. I can give up my bra, and just tuck them in my belt.) Also, my belly, which certainly stuck out, does not so much any more. Now, if I were to wear a bikini bottom (HORRORS) it would not matter what color, because from the front it would not show. This is not pleasing to me. Does that change with time? (I am 66, top weight 213, now 188....aiming for 150.) I do not expect to ever invest in surgery....will that be my only option?
By the way, I do not intend to ever wear a bikini, no matter how much I lose. I just want to be able to endure an occasional glance in the mirror without wondering if 'protruding belly' is better than 'hanging belly.' Then, I will get dressed in my brightest purple clothes, and go out into the world with a smile on my face knowing that only myself and my husband are aware that my perfection is made by Spanx.
Thanks everyone for your support. Health is my main motivation, but vanity is a close second.
