So, I'm a little late to the party, simply because I was broke and couldn't get groceries.
Anyway, I started the #FitFood challenge today. I must say, I will never, ever eat PB&J in oatmeal again. It was horrible and I kept tasting it all morning. My mini said 'mom, this tastes like puke' and I had to agree with him. We both dumped it after eating the raspberries. I'm hoping tomorrows breakfast is better.
For lunch, though, I had the Shrimp Ceasar Salad and it was awesome! And filling! I actually ended up with 4 cups of leaf lettuce instead of just 3 so it looked like a whole lot of food - and it filled me up for 3 hours. I will definitely keep that in mind. I hate buying shrimp cause it's so expensive but I'll get 3 meals out of the 11oz shrimp cocktail kit I bought so it's not too bad in that perspective.
Tonight we're having Cheesy Chicken Pasta. Sounds good and I think it's something the mini will eat as well. Wish me luck on that. It's always hit and miss with him.
For me, I'm down another 2 pounds without even trying. I guess it's true that muscle keeps burning calories cause heaven knows I've not been sticking to my meal plan as intended. Nor have I got to the gym much lately. But, I feel good. Got in my 'skinny' jeans that haven't seen the light of day in 10 years and they were starting to get a bit loose already. Two more lbs and I'll be below 280 - something I haven't seen in so long I don't remember. Seeing the progress has rekindled the fire...for today at least.
