Getting back on track isn't always easy. However, when I am consistently eating really healthy things, its easier. I haven't tracked yet, but I feel good about what I am doing.
I've been crankin out the broth for my homemade chicken soup (roaster pan method- the old way I was taught was to boil a chicken but that sucks) and am about to chop veggies. It'll probably be ready tomorrow. A good soup takes time to make.
Yesterday was my first experiment with making yogurt! Oh my goodness it was good! Unfortunately I forgot to add the sugar to feed the bacteria from my starter, but it still turned out super yummy. Can't wait to try for my next batch!
I made a big batch of juice yesterday. Enough for 5 days worth. Its a bit strong because I put garlic in it but I needed the garlic so that I can get over this cold.
I'm not very good at drinking my water, but I have gotten in 3 glasses so far today. I added 3 packets of emergen-C. Boosting my vitamins!
For breakfast I had eggs scrambled in olive oil, turkey ham, homemade yogurt (about half a cup) with 1 T honey and 1 strawberry, juice (about 10-12 oz), and coffee with 2 tsp sugar and some almond milk.
For lunch I had a large salad with a small amount of shredded cheese and some light ranch dressing
I just finished eating my snack- a bagel with cream cheese and another serving of coffee.
For dinner I am having spaghetti.
No promises on not snacking tonight ;)
So, I've made some very healthy decisions. Maybe not everyone has been perfect, but I'm not striving to be perfect.
