Seriously, this year is flying by!
September started of really strong. Workouts every day, with Jimi participating when he was off work. Life happened and regular exercise and healthy eating went by the wayside. I was probably 50/50 with healthy eating. I still get into this all or nothing mode, which I really need to work on. I did manage to drink the recommended amount of water each day and didn't go more than 2 days without some form of exercise. I'm still maintaining on the high end of my "normal weight."
For October, I am trying to establish a routine. I decided that I am going to follow the 30 days to skinny jeans program that SP is advertising. In addition, I am also doing the following exercises every day:
25 lunges (each leg)
1 minute plank
100 ab reps
My aim is to complete this at least 26 days out of the month (so far, 2-0). (Thanks to Mya for the "back to basics idea!). I plan to work in some exercise videos/yoga/running/hiking every week as well. I may get fancy and write up an exercise schedule for the month :)
I have a pretty relaxing weekend coming up, and plan to get some healthy food cooked up for next week.
Also, side note...
Has anyone used the Costco Auto Program to buy a car? We got a membership just to see what the savings would be versus haggling on our own. I feel like we did pretty well on our own on car buying day 1, but wow, the savings from Costco are awesome! For the car we ended up choosing (Subaru Outback), the savings were $450 under the invoice price (aka way under MSRP!). It varies by make and model, but we got a really great deal.
The new car has about the same amount of cargo space as his old 4runner had, but gets 50% better gas mileage.
