Thanks to those of you who offered support and kindness to me, after my last entry.
There is a line from a Carly Simon song - "These are the good old days!" I really do understand that line now - I am taking time to pay attention, and value what is in the NOW, and trying not to focus so much on what I want to achieve for the FUTURE. I am taking more time to pay attention to my remaining pets and to give them love and attention. I am focusing on the quality of my relationship with my husband and my friends. I am setting small goals at work so that I can be a better employee (rather than worry about whether they'll lay me off).
I am also focusing on making daily improvements in my health. SparkPeople is helping me achieve that, more than any other program I've tried. Checking in brings me back to the basics - how much water am I drinking, am I eating wholesome, unprocessed food, am I getting some exercise in (even if I am very busy)?
Am weighing in today - hoping to have lost a little weight. It is very difficult when I am in a stressful time, but I am really trying.
