I wasn't dead last!!

Thursday, October 03, 2013

So today, I read BobCatGirl76's blog

and I realized I hadn't checked again on the results from the 5K that I waddled on September 1 for the Kidzcope Good Grief 5K... The 2013 results were not up when I last checked...

I checked and went all the way to the bottom - and the names were not familiar. Had to scroll up a bit, and there we were, my husband and I in together at 55 minutes 32 seconds. Neither one of us was dead last in the race. There were both men and women who staggered on in behind us.

That seems oddly encouraging!!?

Whether you finished last or not, you started in the first place, which is a lot more than a lot of people can say for themselves. You done good!

If you finished, that's winning in one form!
Congratulations to both of you!

Walking a 5k in under an hour is GREAT! Don't sell yourself short. This is an accomplishment and a victory.
