Another day...

Wednesday, October 02, 2013

I ended up having to go up to the Air Force Academy to meet with a client yesterday, so on the positive side, I got to leave the office for the afternoon, on the negative side some complicated issues arose. Such is my life. I had to go back there this morning, too. Still not sure how to handle the issues, but I'm working on the research at least, and if you know me, you know I love legal research! :) (I'm not being sarcastic, I love legal research.)

I had my hip hop class last night. Fun as always. The dance is getting more complicated! But it's exciting. I still dont have the proper shoes, so I am debating ordering them this month. But I also want to buy dance specific clothing. I've been mostly wearing baggy tshirts and shorts because they are comfortable, but I also cant see my body shape well, so I dont know if my form is off by looking in the mirror. So I am considering ordering maybe 2 pairs of pants and a few fitted shirts, if I can find some decent prices online. We'll see.

Speaking of clothes though, I just scheduled my first Stitch Fix order! Stitch Fix is basically a personal stylist team. You fill out your personal style profile, and then a stylist will pick out some clothing items for you. You pay a $20 stylist fee for each box, then they send you the box. If you want to keep anything, you pay for it online (you get the $20 stylist fee as a credit for what you want), and then whatever you dont want, you just send back within 3 days of receiving them. I've heard lots of bloggers talking about them, so I finally decided to try it! I should get my first stitch fix at the end of this month! If you are interested or want more information, let me know and I can send you my referral code!

I am having quite a bit of stomach pain today. I ate a sandwich. This is so frustrating. I've been paying a lot of attention in the last month to what causes my stomach to hurt the most, and it seems like sandwiches and pasta are the main culprits. :/ I am going to the GI doctor next week, and I am hoping he will do the celiac blood test, which is why I havent completely given up gluten yet. I am also hoping he will do an endoscopy to figure out what is going on in there. I just want to eat foods and not have my stomach hurt anymore. I usually save the culprit foods until dinner time so I can at least manage during the day, but I was in a rush, and now I'm seriously uncomfortable with 2.5 more hours of work left, and I had wanted to get in a workout today. Hopefully I will still get my workout in. Planning for ST and some light cardio this afternoon.

My boyfriend gets some bonus points today! I have a legal issue that I am working on but I dont want to call the legal office at the Academy because my client's case is actually a restricted report (meaning, she was able to report it for the purpose of getting treatment, but it wasnt reported to law enforcement). So he offered to call them for me. I dont know why this meant so much to me today, but it did.

Oh, and one last thing. The fabric bunches that I ordered last week came via UPS yesterday! I am so excited and they look even better in person! I had ordered 4 charm packs (5"x5" squares), two were christmas patterns (two different fabric lines) and two were the same fabric line that I really liked. I also ordered a layer cake (10"x10" squares) that are a more traditional design with bright pinks and oranges. So excited! I am planning to make table runners with the christmas patterns for my mom and grandma and me. And then I want to make a large quilt for snuggling on my couch with. So many ideas!

I can't wait to see pictures of all of your projets emoticon I am sorry about your stomach issues - I know about them all too well. Have you tried taking a probiotic or eating more probiotics (yogurt for example)? I take Align daily (over the counter) as suggested by my GI. I hope you get some answers after your appointment.

If you have any questions about the whole Celiac deal, I can help. I have been at this for 4 years now, and have done my homework. If the GI is as crappy as the MD he will dismiss your symptoms as IBS. You can also still be sensitive to gluten and not test positive. The tests are not 100%. Hang in there!

Truly a wonderful blog, a window into your day and I for one appreciate it. I had never heard of that Stitch fix and I'll let my friends know about it. Personally it isn't something I'd be interested in.

As for workout clothing/shoes, etc find a way to perhaps get what you want in dance and your other exercise. You'll perform better in clothing you enjoy. Have you ever though of going to thrift stores or yard sales? I find the most interesting items for a lot less in fantastic shape.
