On my walk this morning, I stopped at the market for a head of lettuce. One head was $1.98. I bought one and then questioned my logic for moving away from the"not as fresh" bagged salad.
Our fall 5% challenge starts in a week or so, and i have already decided i need to work on my portion control. So when i got home, I cut up my lettuce, measured three cups on a plate for my lunch, the balance of the head filled my lettuce tupperware container. I didn't measure the balance, easily enough for three more salads. I am happy with that.
My lunch, all measured out. 375 cal. I could tell by looking i had been "cheating" on the fried rice in the past. I was hoping for it all to fill me up, as I was famished after a light breakfast and an hour long walk. So far so good 30 minutes after eating.
Btw, this is my first blog from my tablet - lol. Before i throw it out the window, i am posting w/o my lunch picture. Bummer, will try to edit.
Ok - think I got it. Had to email pic from my tablet to my puter and here I am back! Anyway, The picture of my lunch hopefully follows, with a link to the vegetable fried rice recipe after that. Today I used leftover veggies and measured it out to 1/2 cup serving.
