October Fitness Goals

I make monthly goals all the time. I rarely achieve them. I also rarely look at them more then once or twice. So this month I'm going to post them EVERYWHERE. muahahahaha. I'm going to try to look at them at least once a week. I'm going to make weekly goals and make daily steps towards attaining those goals. I'm also working on making specific attainable goals. This is something I've struggled with over the years. I like to make in-specific goals and goals that are almost impossible to meet. Then I beat myself up over not achieving those goals.
1. 1000 Fitness Minutes.
This is a completly do-able goal. Thats 250 minutes a week. That's less then 45 minuets a day for 6 days and a day off. Honestly I should be getting about 30 minutes a day just from walking at my 15min breaks at work.
2. 500 Spark points
Ok. this isn't quite a fitness goal. But by trying to accomplish this goal I will spend time on spark people logging things, reading articles and doing videos which will help in my overall health and fitness.
This is something I do pretty good already. I try to get at least 64oz of water and tea in while I'm at work. I'm not as good on the weekends. My real goal is to do the half my body weight in ounces thing. That's when I really start to feel and look better. So this one is kind of a freebee to think about and make myself feel like I'm getting something done :)
4. Lose 10 pounds
I know this is do-able. I've done twice this before and kept it off for years. But that was many moons ago :) So this is a good number to start with. A steady step by step. Just 2 1/2 pounds a week. If I would just get off my butt and exercise I would be able to do this. When I exercise more, I tend to binge and overeat less. Because then I'm happy so I'm not trying to make myself happy through food. If I do this, I get to get highlights in my hair the first week in November. It's been YEARS since I got my hair done and I miss it.
5. Mix it up!
I'm taking belly dance classes again starting on the 14th. But I haven't done much bellydancing since last fall. So I need to bellydance 2-3 times a week, take my dogs for walks, do yoga at home and at the gym, GO TO THE GYM! I've had a membership for like 2 years now and have seldomly used it. I love my gym. I need to stop wasting my money each month and I'm going to do that by utilizing what I'm paying for. Go hiking. I love being outdoors and the winter is coming. I don't enjoy hiking and walking that much during our weird winters so I need to get out an enjoy nature while I still can.
Ok. 5 is a good number. My list in my journal is longer but this, this I can do.
