A Long Time Missing

I haven't been on in SOOOO long! This year has been a year of struggles for me.

I broke my foot in February which put me through surgery and into a boot for 12 weeks, the first 8 bearing no weight! I rented a knee walker to get around at work during that time. However, it happens to be the WORSE knee that was on the cart! After the 8 weeks I could walk on the boot. After another 4 I was given the all clear to walk on it....and a week later I did a "toe pick" fall and fell on that knee on the cement floor! OUCH! I have been nursing it along since.

I went to an ortho surgeon and will getting a total knee replacement. This is NOT due to the fall but to arthitis that I have had a long time. The fall just aggrevated it! He measured from the upper bone, down the knee and onto the lower bone, saying that 7 degrees was normal. My right knee is over 20 degrees! Not wonder my hip, back and everything else hurts!

I have gained approximately 30+ pounds in the past year and a half. I am NOT a happy camper!

So I started tracking my food again, doing some pre-surgery exercises to build up the leg muscles (hoping this will speed up my recovery) and journaling. I still need to STOP the McD's coffee (all though it is NONfat, sugerFREE latte) and drinking more water. I have found that water tastes yucky now! So this is going to be a challenge in itself!

Please pray for me for strength to get through all this stuff and that the weight will start coming off again. I would like to lose at least 10 pounds before me surgery....and that's in 21 days!

    McDonald's coffee is second only to Starbucks in terms of awesomeness and evilness. I too have a slight addiction to it!

The good news is, the non-fat lattes aren't bad for but you are right in that you need to drink more water.

You can do this! Keep focused and keep strong!
