Week 40: What a Month

I can't believe I let a whole month go by without blogging. I wanted to make it all year with a blog once a week
. Oh well, I still set up a reminder for me for the rest of the year.
What's been going on with me this month
I've been having weekly personal training sessions where I have been lifting a weight that is heavy enough for me to complete 3 sets at 8-12 reps. Once I can do 3 sets at 12 reps each, then it's time lift a heavier weight. I only have one more session with him. Due to budget constraints, I won't be continuing. I hope to be able to get back to it at a later time.
All month I've been dealing with some family issues that has affect my eating. Basically making me NOT want to eat or I'd start eating but then stop because I'd feel sick to my stomach. So it's no wonder that I've lost 4lbs this month. I haven't lost 4lbs in a month since January. I'm doing my best to make sure that I'm getting in enough calories so I'm snacking on nuts and high protein foods.
Anyway, I'm turning 40 at the end of the month and I would love to be at my new dream weight and at this point I'm only 1.4lbs away. If I get there and I'm able to maintain it for a few months, then I will lower my maintenance range to make 149lb be the upper range. I would love to never see 150lb in the scale every again.
Goals for October is to keep focusing on strength training and lifting heavier weights to build muscle and tighten up. On the food front, I want to continue to tweak my eating to include a lot more protein and a lot less carbs. I need to find high protein snacks that I can eat and that leave me full afterward.
