Walked Way Beyond What I Planned

So I decided I would walk on Tuesday. I really did 't feel good and kept putting it off. Finally, I told Hubbie to get his Brooks Shoes on and let's get going. We did not take Chaos this time. He had been feeling poorly and I decided he needed to stay home and rest. We were going to walk 2.5 miles. I am still using my Sportline Pedometer. I am still waiting for my charging cable to get here. I order the wrong one to start with. So I have to wait a few more days before getting the right one.
Anyways, We were walking and using the mile marker the were on the path. They are suppose to be .25 miles apart. So we counted them as we walked. We were to walk 1.25 miles down and 1.25 back for a total of 2.5 miles Well the Sport Line Pedometer didn't match with the mile stones. So we just kept walking until it registered 1.25 miles. We took a 10 minute rest and rehydrated ourselves. The sun was just beating down on us. Glad I had sun screen on. It was so hot my face was blazing red. So then we started back. We carefully counted the stones. It came out we had walked way more than we planned. I really got tired. I had to stop twice to catch my breathe. When we got home I put our walk in the Spark People Tracker. We had actually walked 4.65 miles. My pedometer said we walk 2. 14 miles. WHAT" I put in the information twice in the Spark Tracker and it came out the same. My feet blistered, my back and hip was singing the blues. When I got home, I fixed supper and fed my dog. I came into the livingroom with an ice pack in hand and a pan of water with salts in it. I iced my hip and soaked my sore feet. I feel as right as rain. So proud we walked the distant we did. It wasn't on purpose. But I am glad we did it..
