October 1st: Day One

Okay, I'm back now. How fitting that I decide to return on October 1 -- new month, new attitude.
The good news: I went for a 7-mile bike ride today. First workout in about two weeks since I've been LAZY. Luckily, I was not out of breath on the hills. Let's see if I'm sore in the morning...
More good news: While I was busy getting my LAZY on, I was able to maintain my weight. Whew!
Bad news: None, really. Just that I've been LAZY (insert slap on wrist here) and I am now ready to get back in gear.
So what have I been up to during my LAZY weeks? All kinds of good stuff! Shopping at farmer's markets, cooking good meals, reading with my kids, reading on my own, sipping the occasional glass of wine, and basically spending quality time with the family. No regrets!! My favorite moment: Last week after work, I read my novel in the September sunshine with a glass of Pinot Grigio, got drowsy and took a little nap on my patio loveseat. Oh, lovely day!
DH is better. He had a five-day rough spot, but it has passed. This evening I returned from my bike ride and found him throwing the football around with our 6-year-old son. What joy! Never take health or family for granted -- enjoy every sweet moment.
My goals for October:
1. Get on Spark daily and check in via blog on most days.
2. Get back on track with workouts by joining Team Skinny Jeans and following the plan.
3. Track food daily and stay within ranges.
4. Enjoy life!
