Guess what I was greeted with when I walked into my office this morning! A very large Halloween gift bag filled with chocolate! A very thoughtful co-worker anonymously gave me this as a nice surprise! Either that, or one of my competitors in the Biggest Loser contest we have going on at work is trying to sabotage me - lol!!!

A few months ago, this bag would not have made it to noon! As a self proclaimed recovering chocoholic, this should have been too much to resist. I mean, this bag had snickers, M&Ms, a giant cookie and all kinds of irresistible chocolate goodies!

Instead, do you know what immediately came to mind? "Who could I give this to?" Do you know that that bag sat on my desk all day long and I didn't even give it another thought! Do you know how huge that is??? HUGE!!!!!!!! Talk about a major NSV!

I finally decided to take it home to Itty Bitty. She was so excited to get a surprise from me, and she is the kind that could make the whole bag last til Christmas! Thankfully, she has not inherited my eating issues!

This NSV is very good news, especially considering all the temptations that are coming up in the next few months! I am feeling confident that I will be able to face this Halloween without fear!

Have a great Wednesday, friends! By the way, thank you to all of you who have been commenting on my blogs lately! I don't always have time to thank you individually, but I do read every comment and am always greatly encouraged by your kind words!!!

You know, I read this and what I see is the most absolutely impressive NSV that I can think of: "Thankfully, she has not inherited my eating issues."

The one to be "thanked" for that is YOU, and do you have any idea just how incredible it is that you were able to teach her a good attitude towards food while you were learning it yourself? Frankly, the "chocolate NSV" is good, but what you've done with Itty Bitty is fantastic!

Major kudos on both!

    Definitely a NSV :)

I bet IB was elated. My daughter is the same way---we still have candy sitting around from her xmas stocking!

I had to laugh at the thought of a sabotaging co-worker. Funny :)

Have a great day, Dachelle!

Good for you! I don't know if I could do the same. The M&M's would be my downfall. LOL! Congrats on the 1/2 lb. loss. Have a great day emoticon emoticon

That is a great victory. You are developing healthy ways of eating! Good for you not touching that chocolate. I know you will make it through the holidays the same way.

What a great accomplishment. I agree with STAY39. It sure sounds like someone was out to get you. I would have loved to see Itty Bitty's face when you brought that home to her. Have another great day!

Awesome NSV for you! That sounds like sabotage to me. Not cool! They must all know of your success. So happy you overcame that junk! I hope I can too. I fear Halloween the most. I have not bought or eaten a candy bar in a long long time. But it's those little sized ones that sucker me right in. Tricks on me! emoticon emoticon
