Wow, it is so hard to believe that this is day 15 since joining SP - it feels like I have learnt so much about my health and my habits in such a short period of time and I am well on the way to rectifying any unhealthy habits or behaviours - still struggling a bit with my food hoarding, but I am a long way from where I was and the main thing is I am aware of it and I am working on it ......
Today is the first day of week 3 and that is fitting as I embark on my latest 30 day challenge.... and a challenge it will be. It's time to stretch and test myself therefore ......
These two luxury items up until now have been part of my lifestyle and they are now 'off the table' they are 'not an option' and I will 'go without them'.
I did a lot of research yesterday on the net regarding post glandular fever symptoms, chronic fatigue syndrome and adrenal fatigue. What an eye opener all that was and I walked away with a whole lot of information and new thought patterns regarding the types of things that are zapping my energy - everything from food to people!
But I can start to make amends and get my health heading in the right direction by taking a step each day towards the goal by not putting toxins into my body. There are two substances that I have regularly in my diet that are toxic to the adrenal glands and these are alcohol and coffee. I may not be in a position of health at the moment to do strenuous exercise, but I can take other drastic measures to improve my health and energy levels overall so that I can get back on to that treadmill and pound it out again sooner rather than later.
Also the other part of my 30 day challenge is to introduce back into my diet 2 x green smoothies each day. Yesterday I had a green smoothie with chlorophyll mixed in due to the alkalising affect of the chlorophyll on my body and today I will have the green smoothies with spirulina mixed in. Spirulina is microscopic blue-green algae with enormous health and well being benefits. So I will alternate each day between these two products in my smoothies.
The other supplements I will currently take after my research are:
Vitamin B (B6 and B12 in particular)
Olive leaf extract
I've also heard about a health product called 'Astraforte' which you can only get from Chemist Warehouse apparently - I checked in my area and they are currently sold out of this product in the liquid and tablet form (is that a sign that it must be good!!??). It is supposed to help get you back on your feet post infections and illnesses. So I'll have a chat with the Chemist once the next shipment comes back in store.
I'll re-assess all this based on how I'm feeling as I go so the supplements are not etched in stone!
Here are my green smoothies from yesterday - my little wizzer makes up 2 glasses full - perfect! I'll change the ingredients around each day - the ingredients I used here were spinach, celery, grapes, banana and ginger.
