More than half way to goal, hard for me to believe. I started out weighting in at 205. I had gone to my doctors after being laid up from foot surgery and could not believe what I weighed. I knew I had gained weight as my size 18 jeans were to tight to button. But 205, how could I have done that to myself. I really did know, eating a lot of meals away from home and getting no exercise. Spending most weekends drinking and eating chips for dinner. I did not know how to take care of myself or even want to.
Seeing 205 on the scale was a wake up call. I started doing some thing about it, eating right and exercising. Raw vegetables and salsa became my favorite snack, fresh fruit my desert. I started exercising most everyday, walking every where I went. I started challenges like doing as many push ups as I could. At first I could only do 4 now I am up top 45.
I have been a Spark People member for 2 years. The first 20 pounds came off quickly the first year but this year I keep putting on 2 and than taking off 3. The weight is coming off but not as fast as I may want it to. I know why, I am not trying as hard as I should. I take to many rest days and am not eating as good as I should but I can change.
This is a new month and I can get myself back in gear and on track starting today. I am going to take a nice long walk and going to the supermarket to buy some healthy foods. I am going to make a goal to work out 5 out of 7 days a week and eat good 6 out of 7. I am going to aim at losing four pounds this month, that is about 1 pound a week I can do it!!!
