Today was day 1 of my clean eating challenge. I had oatmeal and raisins for breakfast. Lunch was a romaine salad, 1/2 tomato, can of tuna, some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For a snack, I had some roasted edamame. Dinner was a lean ground beef burger with provolone and some tomatoes with okra. The worst item was probably the hamburger bun. I abstained from the mayo and used mustard. I also don't usually eat red meat. The taste wasn't worth the bellyache!
Overall, Day 1 went pretty well. This is my in moderate version of clean. I'm limiting white starchy foods, sugar, and most items that have more than 5 ingredients on the list.
I made a plan for most of the day and even pulled off a sensible dinner. To top it off, I did 30 minutes on the bike before work and 65 minutes of Zumba class tonight. Yeah!
