Today was a busy morning and a great afternoon.

Monday, September 30, 2013

This morning I was determined to put my locker garden to bed. I took off all the green tomatoes and will try fried Green tomatoes.

DH and I have only ever eaten red tomatoes. I have some recipes but they do not look lie the lovely red ones. We shall see.

Our son in WI has his furniture and was still unpacking boxes when he called to tell us his good news. He is looking forward to his new Job on Wednesday.

I did get the locker garden to sleep for the winter even put the doors back on so no kitty's will try to use it for the winter. We have so many cats around they can be a big nuisance. I love cats but we always had house cats not neighbourhood nuisances.

I clipped some hostas and honeysuckle and then I was feeling like I wanted to go "Leaf Peeping". DH was in total agreement. We drove to the area where we are hoping to relocate our youngest son. Well we are not relocating it is their Idea I would like to see it happen.
DH and I drove to where they hope to live and the area was not familiar to us. We discovered it very changed after the first time we drove through the area to a campground over 40 years ago. It looks like a nice place to live. There are lots of good schools and there are several churches of their denomination so that will be a plus.

I saw many houses for sale so I will go on-line and check out some house prices. They are supposed to be coming to Maine to work in February I keep telling them it is not the best month but their apartment lease will be up by then.
We shall see.
I now have 2 sons closer but not very close this one and his wife and one child will actually be in the same state as we are.

Tomorrow is my eye appointment and today the acupuncturist appointment was brought forward so I have to see both of them tomorrow. We will be in another city 25 miles away and the appointments are hours apart so i will be sparking from some library or café if I find one.
Thanks for reading my Blog. Pat in Maine.

Pat, I am very happy that you were able to put your Locker Garden away for the winter. It is coming really fast. I know that you are really happy that you got that accomplished.

I am very happy that your son in WI got all his luggage and is getting settled in.

It will be so good if your younger son and his family actually come to Maine to live. I know that it will make you so, so, happy when that happens.

What a great idea to go leaf peeping. I bet that you really like it a lot. Hope that the weather was good enough to do that.

I am very happy that you had a good day.

Best wishes to you and your family. I will pray that all goes well at the eye ddoctor tomorrow. Hope that you get some good news.

Love Dot

So glad that one of your sons is going to be living in Maine! Won't that be wonderful! Glad that the son in Wisconsin is getting settled, too. I would love to see the fall colors up there, I'll bet they are getting to be really beautiful! DH and I are making plans to come up to Maine next summer with our RV, with a stop at Schroon Lake, NY, of course, where his relatives live. We love it up there when there is no snow! Such a gorgeous area of the country! I already read your most recent blog so know the outcome of your eye appointment...........Good news!

    Hope your appointments went well......

Isn't it wonderful that we can check things out on internet instead of having to drive around to see real estate agents....... Hope they find something reasonably priced......

Most people here love fried green tomatoes.

If your son moves to Maine how close will he be to where you live. It's wonderful that your children finally came home for a visit and now they want to live in the eastern half of the U.S.

I love looking at online houses. It's fun!!

Pat, it would be wonderful if your son and his family move close to you. Is there work for them where they want to move to?
I hope your appointments go well. I hope your eyes are feeling ok and making fast progress.
Good luck with the tomatoes. I don't like tomatoes unless they're sliced and baked with goat cheese on top.

Pat, hope you're having a good day. How is the leaf peeping? The trees seem to be turning fast and the leaves are coming down with east gust of wind. Time to get the rake out. lol

Glad you family will be somewhat closer. It makes it so hard when everyone is far apart.

Will try and catch you later.

hugs...Mary Anne

Great that the boys are getting closer. Maybe when you come to Wisconsin you can stop by Illinois. Where in Wisconsin is your son/ My son is about 3 miles from the Wisconsin border.

You are such a busy bee. Send some of your energy down here to PA. It will be nice for you to have your son and his family closer to you.

To look at houses in the area, go on and you can see prices and most have pictures of the inside so he and his wife can discard the ones they don't like.

Have a great day!! Keep us posted on how your eye is doing!!

Sounds like you will have a busy day tomorrow. It will be lovely if one of your sons moves to Maine. We have one daughter in Ontario, only about 30 minutes from us, one in Calgary, one in Amsterdam and our son is in Nova Scotia. Not ideal, but they are all happy and healthy.

Hope everything goes well tomorrow,
