Today I've made my very own veggie burger. I was going to make black bean burger.But when I started to cook I found out I didn't have any caned black bean, and for that reason, I ended up making Chickpea patties. I have never made any type of veggie burger and this was my very first one. But I am glad to say it turns out great! (*^^*) I wanted to omit the oil as much as passible, so I used little bit of Tahini instead. And didn't want to fly so I put it in oven and baked at 375 for about 50 min. It turns out crispy and not oily. It tasted more like falafel then to say a burger. But it was yummy. I ate with a large salad and Joseph's Oats, flax whole grain pita bread which only has 60 calorie for one whole pita. I felt like Yay me! For healthy low calorie meal that I enjoyed. Even my DH (not vegetarian) liked it. It was very first time he had a "no meat at all" vegetarian meal tonight. Yay!! (*^^*) I used a egg, but who want it make that to vegan patties, you can omit egg and add some ground flax seeds and bit of water.
