I rarely eat red meat but the energy has been so low all week since I came back from my wilderness expedition all by myself. So I bought extremely lean red beef - top grade choice - $3.71 for the package. I used half of it so for around $1.80 I had a high iron, high protein main meal for this afternoon. I used some pre-cooked brown rice and from the back yard's organic garden, I used green peppers, onions, garlic. I marinaded the beef overnight with balsamic and red wine vinegars with garlic then stir fried.
I also had run out of coffee. With $5.00 left on my food allotment, I found a can of coffee for $2.99. Have you noticed the cans are now TEN ounces instead of 11 or 12 or 13 or 16 oz. We need to read our labels.
So I had coffee today and I do feel more energy.
