Some people hate to see others succeed

Monday, September 30, 2013

Mom always told me to get rid of the people that are negative. They always seem to drag a person down! They cant stand to see others accomplish goals that they wont even try to reach for.I'm going to talk about my ex-friend Rachael.I said I would never speak about her but I am going to now.She was the one negative in my life I kept around until recently. The day started beautiful enough until I met this bitter, angry, overweight, negati
ve human in the park to walk and have lunch afterward.I am a positive sunny person.I love people.I volunteer with senior citizens, animal shelters, food drives, cancer walks, coat and blanket collections, you name it I'm doing it!So I invited her to help us with coats for kids.Alot of kids go without warm coats. She snarled at me and rolled her eyes.I tried ignoring her rudeness and went to order my Subway sandwich. It just so happened to be an oven roasted chicken breast(6inch)She said it wasn't enough and slopped Chinese food buffet on top of my food!!!I was mad but held it in.I removed the top of my sandwich bread and started eating it.Are you for real?she shouted.Yes I laugh I am!Well before she finished with her rant and told me about myself I knew I couldn't have her around anymore.I've known her for 19+years and had just saw her worst behavior.I said I would never give up on her and tried to talk rationally to her.It wasn't happening! You're selfish and are not all that she yelled.I told her to have a nice life and moved to another table. My daughter works in the mall and drove me home after work.Mom she said, you can't keep being friends with Rachael she advised. She always upsets you!It was then that I knew that my so called friend was history.I feel a little sad but It also feels like a huge weight was lifted off my chest!I am all that in my book.Im a very loving and kind human being and I don't care who knows it.I am who I am and wont change my sunny attitude for anyone!!! emoticon emoticon SUSAN

Susan--- Your daughter's advice is the right advice. When you have known someone so long, it is "sad" (as you say) to see this "association" end --because you know that it cannot become a happy friendship...ever. Never change your sunny attitude, Susan!
