Thrilled to be home after a very interesting day. Who knew that it rained branches overnight or that puddles could get that deep. Glad we didn't lose power.
Had a great time at the Y in Gig Harbor. Did my rowing (on level 10 - nothing to write home about, time-wise) and walked several laps before heading to water aerobics (hope you are feeling better Amanda, we missed you!) The class was active, but the water was a bit colder than usual, so I really needed to sit in the hot tub afterwards. While in there, I met a couple of very nice people who were new to the area, so got to share some of the finer points of living in the PNW.
After a quick trip to gas up the car for the week and pick up a few things at Fred Meyer, I came home and am now wrapping my appetite around a kale, spinach, avocado, pumpkin seed, and shrimp salad with homemade organic honey mustard dressing (with just a hint of Thai Curry) to refuel this "vehicle."
Now to defeat the paperwork monster licking at my heels!
