I have been running consistently and strong, for 6 months now putting in 20 or more miles a week. I do my easy runs. I do my speed work and I do my long runs. Today I did a track workout. This afternoon I ran 5K. Total miles today is 6.75, since it is my long-run day. I cross train 1-2 times a week, and rest when my body says enough.
I have 4 weeks to increase my long runs to participate in a half marathon. Given my limited training, can I do a half? Or should I do what I already know I can? I know I can complete a 10K, but I have never run one.
The Hero Half is a great lake front route, and the 10K is more a wooded trail run. I am torn.
