On a Budget and This Is My Monthly Splurge!?

Sunday, September 29, 2013

Dumbbells. I spent my $30 "mad money" and bought a set of heavier hand weights for my at-home workouts.

Sometimes, this new lifestyle hasn't caught up with me yet and I find myself shaking my head at what excites me. Like those dumbbells I bought today. Or my new absolute favorite meal: a big bowl of mixed salad greens with avocado, grilled chicken, walnuts and poppy-seed dressing. Seriously? No fries with that?

emoticon when I catch myself laughing in these moments. Transformation is not only possible, friends, it's kinda hilarious.

Have a wonderful week! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

The salad sounds fantastic and I too get silly excited over things like a quick walk with hubby or a stroll to the store for a bag of ice...little things that I'd have dreaded before now get me all WOOHOO

A purchase in the right direction which will prove itself with each use over and over again.

I enjoyed this blog. My last splurge of some pin money was buying a Leslie Sansone 30 Minutes, 30 Day Challenge. So now I'm involved in a 30 day challenge in addition to my 20-25 miles of weekly walking. It's hard, but at least it got me back into some strength training....a year old promise I just couldn't seem to act on before, LOL.

Enjoy your new equipment. Using it, I mean. emoticon

Yup, my new fave meal is the shrimp and avocado salad at the restaurant next door - so delicious, so low in calories!
