So I'm getting traveling questions on Spark this morning. The Question of the day on my Steely Sapphire Soldiers team was: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? To which I replied Australia. I've always been fascinated by that country. Probably from books I read years ago. Then my 55+ Female team posed a question of the week.
You just won an all expenses paid ten day vacation!
Your choices are:
1. Paris, France
2. The Biggest Loser Ranch in California
3. A Cruise to Alaska
4. A Safari in Kenya
5. New York City
Where would you go and why?
On that one I picked Kenya. I'm interested in seeing the birds and other wildlife there. Here's a link to a website about Kenya birds for you bird lovers out there.
I've been to Alaska. In the late 90’s my sweetie and I drove up the Alaska-Canadian Highway through British Columbia, the Yukon Territory and into Alaska. Lots of fun. Learned I wasn't much of a camper. I need hot running water and flushing toilets. But it was a fabulous trip and I do plan to go back. In fact, I'd like to hobble together a trip on the ferry service known as the Alaska Marine Highway. So many fun possibilities. But I need to get fit and ready to travel!
My Steely Sapphire Soldiers team captain has also challenged us to find, make, and share a new recipe this week. I picked a Tunisian Bean and Chickpea Stew. I've never tried harissa. Hope I can find some. Here’s a link to the recipe.
No big plans for the day. Still raining. I plan to catch up on my mixed media art class homework. Life is good.
I'll be back tomorrow.
