I don't have any idea how often I've read and heard the words ... slow down and savor your food ... and still didn't get the hint! Suddenly it hit me. I'm a #1 gobbler. Oh there have been times when I concentrate on chewing 15 times before swallowing ... and concentrating on savoring the different tastes ... but nothing kicked in as a habit. That's today's challenge for me. I did stretch out breakfast for over twenty minutes, but that's only because I was doing dishes in between bites. And yes, dinner is in front of the television (I don't really watch it, but my husband is a TV addict so of course I hear it loud and clear). So I now have a new goal! SLOW DOWN AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU EAT!!! I always carefully log in whatever I'm going to eat each day ... that's one of the many good habits I've learned at SP. This new habit will be another good habit ... once it finally kicks in. It will, too, because I really want it to.
