There's a storm rolling in tonight. Weather forecasters are fighting it out as to who wins the prediction - storm of the century or no big deal. Time will tell.
Meanwhile, DH's vacation is nearing the end. He has worked so hard just about every day . . . got a lot accomplished, like tilling and reseeding about half an acre inside our fenced area.
Plus we got the pond liner in the new pond yesterday (we hired a backhoe last weekend . . . it would have taken me several years to accomplish what it did in 2 hours!) It's filled with water and now we're sculpting the edges to make a bit of a wetland for the Pacific Tree Frogs that call our wetlands home. Fun stuff. Tomorrow I'll transfer the mosquito fish and plants from the temp pond out front into their new habitat. Maybe get some more koi. . . . Oh what fun!!!
Next Wednesday 10/2 is my 1 year Spark-anniversary . . . I've been giving a lot of thought and reflection on this past year and what it's done for me.
Yesterday and today I was able to shovel dirt and rocks into a wheelbarrow and heave and pull a 30' by 15' piece of heavy pond liner into position. Last year I couldn't walk to the corner of my block.
SparkPeople and my SparkFriends and SparkTeams are definitely the right fit for me . . . and yes, I can conquer the world.
