It was a good day. I had the opportunity to be of service to my friend, Ann, who had to go out of town for the weekend. I then had a much needed manicure (at a suitable length so as not to inhibit successful weight lifting, strength training, etc.). After a brief rest, I headed to the Gig Harbor Y for a workout (but had to wait in the car for about 10 minutes while the deluge that was happening ebbed a bit).
Once in the Y, I had the opportunity to chat with Stacy, who I hadn't seen for a while. It is always good to see people you appreciate! I then proceeded with my workout (attempting to break in my new weight lifting shoes). did my warm-ups and stretching and then walked/ran my mile on the track. After that, I proceeded to the weight room, where I went through some of the things I did during my workout with Ross yesterday (no barbell hickeys today) when my knees decided they were not happy with the previous activities. I decided to be prudent and end my session after 2 hours and head for home. Been following the advice I received from Patti and Aimee since!
