Almost through week 1 of challenge

It hasn't been a full week since I started this challenge and I can feel a difference already in my energy level. I haven't been perfect about having no white flour or sugar, but I have stayed very close to it. We're staying at our son's place so even though I help with fixing a lot of the meals, I'm not preparing everything. So sometimes it's really hard to avoid the white flour and sugar completely. I have, however, been able to refocus my snacks to more fresh fruit. Also, the few times I have eaten something fixed with white flour and sugar I find that it's not tasty or satisfying, so I am making every effort to find replacements. I did get some Ezekiel bread and have enjoyed eating that for bread servings.

I had a good week of exercise. I was able to go to the Y for their bodypump class three days and I got some running in. This coming week I will only make two of the bodypump classes and will do at least 2 days of running. I do have a 5K I'll be running in next Saturday morning. It could be interesting since the weather is currently saying low 40's in the morning. All the more reason to run fast and keep warm! emoticon

I'll weigh in Monday to see how my weight is doing. It does feel like I've lost a little.

Working to press on toward healthy eating and exercise so that I can stay fit for my King!
