Day 2 of cleaning out the bed bugs!
My yesterday's blog of stating I am making bad choices food wise actually didn't happen. I logged in my food planner that I was going to Subway for my 1 hour break which would put my calorie range in the 2,000+ range. But that didn't happen...
I ended up working straight through my break.
I ended up being within my calorie range!
I ended up walking home from work instead of driving my car - almost a half mile - after clocking in 14 hours of laundry, bagging, dragging, moving, etc... I didn't want to drive my car when I may have bed bug eggs on my shoes and clothes.
I get home and my husband opened the garage door. I shut the garage door and stripped naked in the garage. I placed everything inside a plastic bag, went into the laundry room, dumped my clothes into the dryer to be tumbled on HIGH heat for 45 minutes to kill all the bugs and eggs. I took the plastic bag back into the garage to toss out. I am butt naked and my husband is teasing me. He wanted to have our causal chat WITH ME BUTT NAKED! OMG!!!!
But don't let my title of this blog mislead you! I was not possibly thrilled....but I am sure my husband was! (Blushing)
Why I am possibly thrilled is that this morning, I stepped on the scale and I lost 3 of the 4 pounds I gained when I sprained my foot! I am once again below 180s!!! To me that is more thrilling than standing inside a garage butt naked!
Today, I clocked in 10 more hours of work. The bug sprayers came in yesterday so today a client and I vacuumed every inch of carpeting and bedding as well as inside drawers under furniture, along baseboards, window sills, etc... (He is amazingly awesome, never complained, and did everything asked of him!!! I hope the agency compensate him in some special way!)
We unearthed at least 300 dead bed bugs and 1 live bed bug! Eeeew!
When we deemed the 4 bedrooms, living room, hall closets, dining room, laundry room, and kitchen cleaned did we allow the other clients back into their rooms to make their beds, put away clean clothes, wash down dirty drawers, etc...
There are still a heck of a lot more work to be done! There has to be at least 30 extra large bags of clothes, stuffed animals, luggage, trinkets, DVDs etc, in the "dirty" garage to be washed, cleaned, laundered, or tossed. There are about the same amount of bags in the "clean" garage full of clothes that need to be folded, hanged, ironed, or re-washed. Whew!
Thank God I will be working in another group home tomorrow!!! I am exhausted!
My ankle was throbbing as well as my legs and feet. My back feels stiff and my entire body is sore.
Going to bed soon! Didn't sleep well. Woke up at 3:40 am and swore bugs were crawling on me.
