Portion...Out of Control

Saturday, September 28, 2013

I need to get back into a routine with my nutrition and fitness. I'm going to try again to workout first thing in the morning. I just feel stuck lately. Maybe setting the tone right off the bat in the morning will be what I need.

I'm also joining a clean eating challenge in October. I'm nervous about that. I need to remember to eat to fuel my body. Yes, it can and should also taste good, but I don't need to eat until I feel full. If that's my goal post, I'm always going to overeat! Gawd, this is just getting old!

Sorry. I try to keep my blogs positive, but my lack of motivation is reflected on the scale and it has me bummed. I have tonight and tomorrow to log some fitness minutes. I've only achieved half of what I intended. Well, it ain't over yet! So, here goes some planning for next week!

Tracking *big sigh*, bane of my existence. I'm an accountant, so I like facts and data. So, to that end, I see the appeal of keeping track of everything you eat. It allows you to see how it affected you that week or month when you compare it to other results. It's time consuming and a bit stressful for me though. Sad, huh? To mitigate the stress and time, I'm going to try to plan simple meals next week. If it's simple, it should be easy to track.

This week my focus will be consistency.

I find getting the exercise done first thing in the morning is best too. I find otherwise the day gets away from me. I'm struggling with the eating too. And looking forward to getting back on track now that this sinus infection is under control. Sending good tracking vibes your way!!!

I think the tracking and your career as an accountant have different values at the end of the process. This makes one monotonous. But, you are where many wants to be--you have identified what you need to work on.

I admit, I find My fitness Pal better for tracking - much simpler process, all the local brands already in the system, etc. Since I moved my tracking over there, it's been much easier to keep up.

Good luck with the clean eating challenge! That's a great one. :)
