Ok, time to get off the pity pot and get back with it... no walking for 3 days, 2 had a rain excuse, but hey, I still have lots of WATP videos, so lazy not even excuses...

Had a couple of great days with my student, today we made oatcakes and a boiled dinner...

These are really good, here's the Oatcake Recipe:

1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup sugar,
Cream together.

1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 TBSB hot water
Mix together and add to creamed mixture.

1.5 cups flour
1.5 cups oatmeal (I'm using a steel cut oat and flaxseed mix)
Combine well, using hands to mush together.

Pat down onto a cookie sheet and bake 10 min. at 375F.

(So quick and easy, I used to make this before I had my shower and would make and take to school for my kids' breakfast when I worked up north on the Rez.)

finished my Harlan Coben book, "Six Years"... really enjoy his stories....

    Well, I've been saying I was going to get to my reading all week and never did... we each had struggles with our schedules this week. It's the end of the week - we can begin again tomorrow. Maybe if I challenge you to see how much we can walk, I will do better. Actually, I should also challenge you to cooking (although I know you'd win) and to reading (which you'd probably win at, too). But if I tell you that I'm doing it, it might just motivate me more. Have a good weekend.
