Update and goal

Ok update first: I blogged this morning about not wanting to weigh myself. Good news...I'm down another pound. I think that brings my total loss down to 64 pounds so far.
Goal: Sunday is the start of a new week and my goal, for Sunday is to walk a 5k. No, I'm not entering any races or doing it with a group with one already going on, I'm going to do it by myself, at my pace, at my normal walking place. I believe I'm going to do that every Sunday. I want to see how my times go.
The track at the park, well it seems a little off. My sister and I both walk there. We both use the app mapmywalk (love it!). But the 1/2 mile track seems to be off consistently. It seems it is off by .05 of a mile. Which makes it off by a tenth of a mile, per mile. She walked 2 miles on her first walk, which in theory according to the track, would have been 4 laps. When she finished she had only done 1.8 miles, so she just watched the app until it hit 1.9 miles and then turned around and walked back. I don't so much pay attention to distance or times (although I do try to beat my own times). I walk 4 laps. Now looking at the mapmywalk homepage it shows a variance in distance from day to day. Nothing huge, just enough to be bothersome at times. So today, i wanted to push myself. I wanted to hit that mile #2, and I knew the only way to do so was to go a 5th lap. I did it. At the end of my workout I was at 2.24 miles. So, Sunday, its going to be 3.1 miles (probably a little over so I can get all the laps in the at least make the 3.1 I'd have to go the rest of the way around the lap).
I added more songs to my "workout" playlist. I have more to add but it was great today to have more variety.
