So glad it's Friday. I think the week went by pretty quickly for me because I had coworkers in town keeping me busy, but I still feel like I need a break. Between being out of town last week, and then having two people constantly want to be entertained - I need some downtime! Did I mention I become overwhelmed when I am around people for long times? Yeah... So I am looking forward to relaxing this weekend!

I woke up at like 4:30 this morning so that I could take one of the coworkers to the Denver airport for her 9:30am flight. I told her I would pick her up at 7am (she was staying at the AF Academy, but it's a 45 minute drive just to get there). We of course hit rush hour traffic this morning so I finally got her to the airport at 8:45 and by the time I made it home it was 10:30. Exhausted. I also hadnt eaten anything except a bowl of cereal at 5am, and drank about 2 cups of water on the drive. By the time I got home I was super shaky (and had to pee real bad!). So I caved and got Wendys chicken nuggets for lunch. Don't judge - I was thinking about them my entire drive home. Better to just get it over with and move on. Though, I will probably not be hungry the rest of the day now! I am still feeling shaky though, so that is not good. I dont have much to do at work today, so I popped into my office to take care of a few things, but I am planning on getting out of here very early. I would like to start the weekend early.

One of J's coworkers invited us over for dinner tomorrow night, so I guess we will be doing that. I havent met her yet, but her husband works at my base. It will be nice to meet some of J's new coworkers, though. I am glad he is making some friends up there since he has been really miserable. Dont really have any other plans. I will probably attempt a run Saturday morning. I meant to run yesterday but I left work with a horrible headache and went home to lay down instead before dance class. I also want to do some more work on my table top quilt this weekend. I ordered new fabric yesterday, so I have some more projects planned!

I had a really great jazz dance class tonight. The ladies in my class were happy to see me back again, too. We learned a really fun combination. It makes me so happy to be dancing again :) Even though, I hate going out again once I get home from work (hey, when I get home I'm done for the day), once I get there I am pumped and it goes by so quickly! It also doesnt feel like exercise because I really enjoy doing it!

Speaking of, I think I might take a running hiatus for a while, or just stick to shorter runs when I feel like it. I just dont feel as motivated lately to get in my runs. I want to run, but I also feel a bit tired from it. I have the 15k on October 6th that I am still hoping to run depending on how my knee feels, but then I might take a break for a bit because my next race isnt until the Disney Princess Half Marathon in February. I will say, though, that I am enjoying the cooler weather for running. It's only going to be in the 60s tomorrow, which means I dont have to wake up super early to get in my run anymore!

Ok off to finish my work. The sooner I get done, the sooner I can leave!

I think it is a great idea to take a break from running. I have seen a lot of people stick with it because they feel it is the best way to work out / loose weight / be fit but if you aren't enjoying it then I don't see the point. It seems like you are having a way better time dancing so I would stick to that emoticon

Hope you had a nice, relaxing weekend and got some time to yourself. Enjoy the cooler weather and send some to Texas if you don't mind emoticon
