what I have learned from working with DS

Friday, September 27, 2013

Good Morning; DS is extreme with his superlatives at times when he is into his PTSD. He is up in Killeen getting ready for the move which is tomorrow. An average person would be stressed but not to the level he is. Every thing is so intense. It could be that my DH and I have moved 5 times with our jobs. He is up there saying good bye to his friends like he will never see them again when he will be only 75 miles away. He sends me texts messages like he is having anxiety with packing the boxes. We have asked him to empty drawers in kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms, but not to lift. I think he is not getting enough sleep. I have learned not to guess just go with the flow and say a prayer. VA has been driving us crazy with all these appts. He just can not say to them please coordinate with his other appts and put them on one day - no three days a week on different days. This interferes with my gym schedule. It is very important that I keep my routine due to the stress that DS can generate. Each appt creates a high level of anxiety with DS. We have had a wonderful few days without DS in house. My DH and I thank him. have a good day.

I am sure you need a bit of peace and quiet, perhaps when your DS is completely moved and out of the Army, he will become less stressed wishing you a calm and peaceful weekend
