Cutting Back

Thursday, September 26, 2013

I can't keep up with blogging daily anymore. It's stressing me out.

And, frankly, when you are trying to beat binge eating - who needs added stress?

The latest Whole 30 blog about information overload put some things into perspective for me:

What started out as a wheat elimination experiment has lead me down the rabbit hole of unconventional nutrition information. I've done a lot of reading - and sharing - here, but I think it's time to stop reading and actually DO something.

I won't totally neglect the blog - will still keep track of streaks here and check in weekly instead of daily. Maybe I'll actually have a few things of substance to talk about.

It's great that you've recognized that you were creating unnecessary stress in your life, and have decided on a plan to eliminate it and still keep yourself on track. emoticon

I particularly like the comment to "Choose just a few sources you trust." My go-to people are Laura Dolson, Peter Attia, Gary Taubes, Jimmy Moore, and Mark Sisson, though not necessarily in that order. I like Dr. Davis's ideas (the same way I like Dr. Lustig's and the Drs. Eades) but the presentation leaves me cold.

Definitely de-stress. Blogging is really taxing. We'll be here!
