Find A Way

Thursday, September 26, 2013

I love that Biggest Loser Challenge 23 (BLC23) has a theme of "Find a Way." In my previous blog, I talked about my mantras being "be excuseless" and "do it afraid" for the next 12 weeks. "Find A Way" is the perfect addition to my mantra's for this round.

I need to FIND A WAY to keep my calories under control. I'm a pretty good exerciser, but I'm a better eater emoticon I need to work on ways to keep myself from grazing. I also need to stop giving myself permission to go off my program and "start fresh tomorrow." I will try to use a few techniques to help me: better meal/snack planning, and not so much waiting until I'm hungry to make all eating decisions. I'm also going to try and get my craft on with some knitting, quilting, etc... projects in the evenings. Cleaning and closing the kitchen followed by some early teeth brushing will also help.

Most important is that I need to recommit to my program daily, and know that the sacrifices are worth it. Being more connected with my team will definitely help with this. Shwoo...let's do this! emoticon

I am the same. I am a good exerciser, but a better eater. I wonder how bad it could be if I didn't put any effort on the exercise component.

I'm excited for early darkness and chilly weather - this always puts me in the mood to crochet & be crafty, to snuggle up with a cup 'o hot tea and read a good book.
Crocheting keeps me from snacking... I don't want my project to be full of crumbs.
I'm hoping it helps me curb the too-much-late-night-snacking battle I've been fighting.

You CAN do it! I def. think the more connected you are to the team the less your food intake will stray from your plan. I love your plan to commit daily to the journey. That's a key component. Never let one bad meal stretch beyond bedtime. If you rein it back in with something positive to close the day you are already in a new mindset and less likely to push off your "reset" another day come morning.

That is my new mantra also. Bless Diana Stobol! She is an inspiration to all of us women.
