Lovely Autumn Day!

Thursday, September 26, 2013

I am feeling a bit better today. I still have lingering stomacj pain, but I am much better than yesterday!
Went to the Farmers Market! It was such a warm, lovely autumn day! They had wonderful cauliflower and broccoli! I got some green beans also! I got Honey Crisp apples and Bartlet pears again and I bought a quart of Apple Cider! (I may use some of the cider to cook pork chops)
I stopped at a table that I usually pass without looking! The homemade bread! I got multi-grain rolls that have 80 calories each and I got a loaf of Orange Cranberry, Pecan bread (100 cal/slice)
I am going to freeze the bread and rolls. I will use the bread as a treat and the rolls, I will eat with my homemade soup!
I went to the library and got two books and I plan to drink tea and read tomorrow! One of the books is for the Library's Book Club , "The End of Your Life Book Club, by Will Schwalbe. It is a true story about a son and his mother who is dying of Pancreatic Cancer and the Book Club of two that they form. The Book Club meeting is in November. I am reading and taking notes as I go! The other book that I got is a mystery, Lethal Treasure, by Jane K. Cleland (a Josie Prescott Antiques Mystery) I like these "light" mysteries! My mother sells antiques and this should be interesting!

Well, I am off to read!

I always pass by the bread table too. Perhaps this week I will stop by.

I hope that you enjoyed your day.
