Town Thursday

Thursday, September 26, 2013

Well, today wasn't the day to take everyone's advice and put myself first, had ot take dh to eye doc... at least it was good news and I had a book with me cuz we were there over an hour and a half... Then we went to our favorite consignment shop. and then to Subway for $5 sub and saw an accident in the middle of our road. LIttle more shopping and home late.... did get a new plumbing piece, the guy told us about something new, that does not require any special skills or using a torch or anything, so maybe tomorrow I will be able to get a bath again... that new Eucalyptus and Spearmint bubble bath was very nice, the one time I got to try it..

Yes, I am tired..... reading a new book by Harlan Coben, "Six Years", he's always easy and interesting to read... meals were bad all day, and no exercise... but I did buy a Beginner Yoga DVD.... for reducing stress... anyone else out there with that problem? roflol

no furnace man today, or yesterday, but they say tomorrow for sure... we'll see, lucky we weren't out of oil.... but have pellet stove on to take off some of the dampness, been raining for days, and cold.....

Sending your warmth and hugs and hoping the dampness is gone!

Did you honestly have to ask if there was anyone out here with stress??? Three days this week I was with my Mom trying to put out her fires and get her settled down. Not sure what y happened, but after a few phone calls, I found out that my oldest sister is using my mother's long-distance phone card. (It's cheaper than having long distance on a land line.) Sister doesn't have a lot of common sense, and doesn't realize (or won't admit) that Mom is paying for her to make phone calls. Meanwhile, Mom was questioning herself - she thought she was getting forgetful at first and then she went into a "what else does she have of mine?" mode. Not a pretty situation to be in the middle of.

I'm glad you brought a book with you to the doctor's. It's been a life saver for me when I'm waiting.

No baths! That's got to be tough. Hoping it gets fixed soon.

I sure hope you get back in the bath soon. For me, taking a bath is THERAPY for my troubled mind. Showers will never do for the soul what a hot soak, especially with bubbles, will do, and no one should ever have to suffer the absence of the tub. Amen!

The sub made me hungry ... but I am always hungry (mentally speaking, not physically) and mention of the consignment shop made me hungry, too. Goodness, everything is making me hungry today. I think I need to take a long, hot, bubbly bath.

Hope the furnace man shows up tomorrow, fer sure!
