goals, strengths and obstacles for blc23

My goals for the 12 weeks are
-get back into tracking
-working out 5 days a week
-losing 12 pounds
-fitting into the new outfit I just bought

The biggest obstacle of reaching my goals is me. I have a tendency of thinking I need to have that bag of chips and not be happy until the whole bag is gone. It's not just chips but cookies, pizza, crackers..... I also need to just pay attention to me. I need to stop worrying about how much other people lose compared to me. I compare myself to other people then get off track when they are doing so much better than me.

My biggest strength for this challenge is not wanting to let people down. I can't just quit and let my team down. I have to stay on track and all of the challenges will help me do that.

    emoticon emoticon YOU WILL do this. I had to learn my journey is just that MY journey. What may work for someone else may not work for me. I had to pray and find my WAY. Find YOUR way and make it work for YOU. Taking advantage of the team support, encouragement, and love, but remember it is YOU that makes it happen.

  Oh I so relate to your post. I was the junk food queen and honestly couldn't imagine going without! Well that was three years ago and it was MY initial BLC that got me to leaving them off my shopping list and turning to healthier foods because I, like you, didn't want to let my team down.

Funny how that works! We will be making this journey BESIDE you. From each other we will gain strength. Hang on - it's going to be a FUN 12 weeks and you WILL make progress!

    You need to put yourself first!!! When you take care of yourself, the rest will fall into place. I too fight the tendency to compare myself to others. In August my sister and I met out in San Francisco for our brother's wedding and although I had lost 30 pounds, I felt huge next to her. But my sister Sapphires told me how awesome I looked in my dress, so that helped. Keep going, you can do it and know that we are here for you whenever you need hus.
