This morning I companied my wife to the train station (06:50 am), and as I was on my bike, I decided to do a little bike touring in some new directions.
This is because since I wrote here, that route (WZ11) is not new anymore, I did that a couple of times already, once even with my wife.
I fired up the bicycle map on my mobile phone, and looked up a route that I haven't cycled yet, called R21.
It started well, but then. I see why I never went in the direction before. It was a continuous uphill for 30 minutes! Good for me, extra training. My bike has only 8 gears (hub gear), so the hills are often a problem. But somehow, I get more and more training, and I can climb up more hills.
The landscape was not particularly beautiful in that area, but I just realized that the sun came up at 06:50 am, too, so I was following the whole sunrise. I have seen all the colours, clouds, fog, hills during the whole ride.
Thank back at home, it felt so easy to start with my creative working. I think I'll do this more often! :-)

My take away today?
If a destination is called 'Sommerberg', I better be suspicious about the altitude (literally "summermountain"...
How often do you try new routes for your running/walking/cycling?
How do you choose new routes - just by impulse, or you look it up ahead?
Any tips, suggestions?
Have a great day full of exercise and keep on sparking!
