TheMother Load

Thursday, September 26, 2013

There is a special bond between a mother and daughters. I have become my mother's confidant a d financial & medical advisor. She is 91, and still going strong, but needs more support than ever to live a somewhat independent life.

One day I won't have a mother load. I will miss her. Some day I could become the mother load. That is a humbling thought.

Great blog. Our parents may take a lot of our time when they get older, but they are worth it!

HUGS sweetie. Moms are to be treasured, and I'm sure your children will treasure you the way you treasure you Mom. They learn by example!

You really are an emoticon . My girls are scattered but I talk to them all the time by phone and visit when we can. I took physical care of my mother for the last year of her life when she became bedridden and all she ever said that she never wanted to be a burden to me. As if she ever could!! I would tell her she was such a burden that she was breaking my back. That would get her to laugh!! As if she could have eve been a burden!!! She had a wonderful sense of humor and always made me laugh. It was privilege to be able to care for her the way she cared for me all her life. You are very lucky that your mother is still in your life. I wish my mother was still here!!!

Thanks for the memories!!! Next time you see your mom give her a great big hug from all of us!!

You are truly your mother's special "guardian angel" - yes, it is very sad to think of that day........but for now you have these days to cherish! I wish you both the very best!
