My Fitbit is where?

Wednesday, September 25, 2013

Yep, that is right. My Fitbit tracker went on a trip. Where you ask? Oh only the most desired hot spot ever....NOT!

I lost my beloved Fitbit. Now, I have lost it before and I have found it before. It's been under the couch, stuck in couch cushions, under the bed, in the laundry hamper.....That lil sucker is small and so darn easy to lose. However, I have always found it. With this last lost and found mission, I had worn it all day. I checked my steps through out the day, I checked the time, checked to see if some how by magic I logged in some stairs....and then WHAM it was MIA! In a late night frantic I decided I would find it the next day.

So I remembered I had some laundry in the washer.....you know where I am going with this right?

My sweet and loving Fitbit who has always been by my side was in fact found! It was sitting in the washing machine but it was found. I gave it the 911 treatment all water logged electronics get, a bed of dry rice. I looked on Fitbit's site and under troubleshooting there is a "you washed your fitbit" section. I did what they suggested and as of now and a full 24 hours later my Fitbit is dead.

Now what? Has this happened to you? Will I ever love a fitbit again?

OH NO!!!!!! I really want a Fitbit but am afraid this is what I will do. I have lost my pedometers before but always found them. They need to do something to address this problem as it occurs way too often. I am hoping your Fitbit comes back to life!!! emoticon

So sorry to hear! I lost mine before too. I had it on and went to check my progress on my phone and it said last synced 2 hours prior. I searched all over. We were having a really bad storm, but I went outside and looked in the car and around the sidewalk to no avail. Went back to the store after they closed (my daughter works there so we could still get in) and found it in the parking lot by where I'd parked! It was in a puddle in the pouring down rain but I was fortunate that it still worked! That was about 6 months ago and it's still going strong. I hope yours recovers. I've talked to several people who wrote emails from the fitbit site about theirs not working again after an accident and they have been sent a new one! It's worth a try. Good luck. I'd be lost without mine!
