Day 23 - 3 weeks and going strong

SO it's been 23 days since I committed to myself to be better for myself. The results have been very encouraging. I am at peace with my need to eat healthy to be healthy.

Fall weather is here in sunny So-Cal and I've decided to make the most of this beautiful weather with a personal challenge to walk 100 miles in the 91 days of fall. So far, so good. I've walked 5.21 miles in the first 4 days.

Although I feel great and I am doing well enough, I know I cannot become complacent. That is the biggest mistake I made in the past, repeatedly. The challenges of my new way of life are department meetings and celebrations, family birthdays and holidays! The next 4 months are going to be hard but I can do it with the help of my health tools (sparkpeople included!) and my support system.

    Hi and good for you. There are lots of places to walk in the AV like the Aqueduct, Barrel Springs Multipurpose Trail, Paloma Vista Park...You are doing great, great attitude about getting healthy. emoticon
